As an entrepreneur, do you have a morning routine?
Life as an entrepreneur can be chaotic. There are client crises, technical glitches, and other unexpected obstacles. In the decade I’ve spent as an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that the time you have the most control over is first thing in the morning, and how you use that time can be the difference between a streamlined, successful day…and a disastrous one.
Not only am I an entrepreneur, I’m also a mom, which means I’m not 100% control of my schedule. It seems like no matter how early I wake up, my son seems to wake up at the same time. So whenever I hear advice like, “journal 5 pages first thing in the morning” or “Start each day with a morning meditation” I laugh and think, “these folks easily don’t have young kids in the house!”
In today’s video, I’m sharing my morning routine, specifically the 5 habits that help set me up for success. And whether you begin your morning routine first thing when you get up or after school drop-off, all that matters is that you complete this routine before you dive into your work day.
