Interview with Debra Giunta
Many of us are multi-passionate entrepreneurs. We have big dreams and lots of ideas; we don’t fit into one box. But time and again, we’re told to focus on one business, one thing, and do it really well. We put those new, shiny ideas on hold.
But that’s not what Debra Giunta did.
As a long-time dancer, she saw a hole in the market and was determined to create the dance education she wished she had. But as she developed her program, she realized it wasn’t just about teaching dance, it was about arming young people with the social and emotional skills needed to succeed in adulthood. From there, she founded the Groove, which brought Design Dance into people’s homes through a subscription box. She also founded Prismatic, a nonprofit that teaches Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers how to be mission-driven leaders.
Though each of her companies serve their audience in different ways, they all fulfill Debra’s mission of empowering the next generation.
In this interview, we discuss how Debra has grown her companies and diversified her revenue streams, all while staying focused on her primary mission. Listen to the interview and then connect with Debra here:
